About SAA

This association was formed to maintain an infinite connection with all our past students who have shown dedication and acquire strong academic acumen throughout their period of contact with at Spectrium. This sense of camaraderie helps build effective professional and personal peer networks that are based on trust, communication, and cooperation. In this respect, they stay connected with fellow colleagues and the institution.

Benefits & Services

Recognition as a goodwill ambassador of the institution
Learners who join the association gain recognition in important events. They are invited to represent the organization in important events. They also participate in functions and international events where the institution needs to have an active presence.

Online services

- E-mail forwarding accounts for life
We offer this service to all our past students. Members can register for a permanent e-mail account @alum.spectrium.co.za. and able to send and receive e-mails from their alumni address The benefit that is offered to past students is that they will never have to worry about changing their e-mail accounts.

- Update Personal profiles
This function allows SAA’s members to update their profiles so that colleagues and the institution could be in touch and understand important developments in their personal and professional lives.

- Mailing List
SAA members join our mailing list to stay in touch with the institution and developments thereof.

- Employment opportunities
SAA’s members are encouraged to use the job listing function to inform fellow colleagues about job opportunities in different sectors of the economy.

- Online Community
The aim of this discussion forum is to ensure that SAA’s members connect with colleagues all over the world to share ideas, debate and contribute to the organizations development.

Campus Life

- SGSB Alumni Cards
The aim of offering alumni cards to members is to ease movement in and out of the campus.

- Access to SGSB Library
Members of the alumni association can borrow books at special rates from the SGSB library

Giving to Spectrium
SAA’s members are also encouraged to raise funds to sponsor learners from disadvantaged community. Donations (books and computers) are also solicited from members.

Volunteering Activities
Members of the alumni are invited to register and recruit learners for the institutions and build a good corporate image as well as public relations to the institution. SAA members are also invited to raise funds to fund the institutions academic infrastructure.
